In this day and age, there are many voices seeking to pull us in different directions. When we pray, there are only two things in the universe, God and ourselves.
The Hebrew word for prayer is tefilah. Tefilah comes from the root "pellel" which means "to judge." Prayer is a time of self-evaluation and introspection. On a deeper level, tefilah can also mean "attachment." When we pray, we create a bond between two different entities: ourselves and our Creator. Thus, prayer is the process by which we begin looking at ourselves, and proceed to grow closer to God.
In this course, not only will you learn about prayer, but you will also learn Hebrew as a framework for developing a deeper relationship with God by applying Hebrew in your daily walk and community.
