אין תלמיד נעלה על רבו ועבד על אדניו דיו לתלמיד להיות כרבו ולעבד להיות כאדניו

'A disciple is not above his rabbi, nor a servant above his lord; sufficient to the disciple that he may be as his rabbi, and the servant as his lord.'                       - Rabbi Yeshua (Matthew 10:24-25)

Walk in the footsteps of the Messiah as Messianic Rabbi Stan Farr restores the Hebraic roots of the Book of Matthew! The gospels clearly portray Yeshua as a faithful and deeply committed Jew operating within the context of First Century Judaism. And as such, it is our desire to return to the same understanding of Yeshua that his disciples or "talmidim" had in the first century.

The actual vocation of Yeshua was that of a "rabbi." He was a simple Galilean Rabbi with a large and devoted following. Knowing this alone tells us a great deal about who Rabbi Yeshua is. It is in this context that we must try to understand the "Biblical Jesus".

While it is one thing to know Yeshua was a rabbi and even to call him Rabbi Yeshua - it is quite another thing to make him "My Rabbi." In order to truly learn from Rabbi Yeshua we must first follow him as students. The Hebrew word for students is talmidim. In our New Testaments, we translated talmidim as disciples. The call of Rabbi Yeshua is to follow him as disciples. If we are to know him for who he truly is - if we are to experience him not just as "savior", but also as "master" and "lord", then we must commit our lives to discipleship under him.

In this amazing study, we will delve into volume 3 of a four part series, (lessons 41-60). Join us for this teaching, as it will give you a new understanding of the life and mission of the Messiah Yeshua.
